Evergreen Bundle

Gather evergreen: pine, cedar, fir, holly — whatever grows near you. Add seasonal herbs if desired: cinnamon sticks, bay, rosemary.

As you bundle, speak what you want held at the threshold:
“Nothing that means harm may cross.
Nothing that is not mine may cling.”

Tie with natural twine or red thread.

Hang above your door on solstice or any winter night. Traditionally, you can leave it until it begins to fade or the next seasonal turning.
