Imbolc Seasonal Correspondences

Early February or Early August

Correspondences aren’t arbitrary – they grow from the energy and mythology of the sabbat itself. At Imbolc, we work with colors of early light, clear quartz for clarity and new beginnings, amethyst for spiritual purification, basil, bay, blackberry, myrrh. Fire and candles are obvious correspondences, but so is milk and dairy. The correspondences all point back to the same themes: purification, initiation, inspiration, threshold crossing, the return of light. Choose what speaks to you and what you have access to. Brigid doesn’t require expensive imports or rare ingredients. She requires your attention and your willingness to tend the flame.
