Sacred Texts

Some words are not meant to be read silently.

They are meant to be spoken aloud, felt in the chest, carried into ritual space where they shift the air and make the invisible tangible.

The texts gathered here are not scripture in the way you may have been taught to think of sacred writing. They are not commandments handed down from on high, demanding obedience or promising punishment.

They are declarations, reflections, invocations – words that name what we know in our bones to be true when we step into the circle and claim our place in the turning of the world.

A rede offers guidance. A creed offers identity. A charge offers the voice of the divine speaking directly to you, not as distant authority but as presence, reminder, recognition.

These are not meant to replace what you have learned elsewhere or what you will write yourself someday. They are meant to walk beside tradition, to offer another voice in the conversation that has been ongoing for generations.

Read them aloud if you can. Let the rhythm find you. Notice what stirs. Take what serves and question what does not. These are tools, not rules – compasses, not cages.

And as you read, remember: the magic is not in the words themselves, but in what happens when you speak them and mean them.

"Words are sacred. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones, in the right order, you can nudge the world a little."

~Tom Stoppard

Guidance for the path – not law, but compass. “An it harm none, do what ye will” condensed into verse that teaches moon phases, elements, sabbats, and the balance between freedom and responsibility.

A declaration of identity – who we are when we step into sacred space. We are wind and root, flame and tide, starlight and shadow. This is what it means to walk the path and claim the magic as our own.

The voice of the divine feminine speaking directly to you – present in earth and ocean, in breath and moonlight. She reminds you that you are not separate from the sacred. You are part of it, and you are not alone.

The voice of the sacred masculine – not domination, but strength and presence. He is the sun that warms, the blade that protects, the fire that lights the way. He offers partnership, not power-over, and stands near when you falter.
