Catching Winter Solstice Light

Keep a glimmer of Yuletide’s light for dark days.

On solstice day, place a small mirror near any source of light — sun, candle, hearth flame, even streetlight or moon if clouds hide the sun. The point isn’t brightness. It’s witness.

Hold the mirror in both hands and name what light means right now. Safety? Rest? Survival? Say it out loud if you can.

Let the mirror “catch” whatever light exists for several breaths. Don’t worry about perfection. Cloud cover is part of the spell.

Wrap the mirror in dark cloth and store it somewhere safe. When winter feels heavy, unwrap it and let it remind you:
